Marketing Director – (Qatari National)

The job holder is responsible for directing the Marketing Department activities including Marketing Planning and Promotion.
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Marketing Department Strategy and Plans as befitting the Department and eeds and objectives
• Set the Marketing Department performance objectives, in coordination with the Planning and Quality Department, and continuously monitor progress and development towards organizational and Department strategic objectives
• Manage the implementation of Marketing policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfilment of organizational requirements whilst delivering high-quality services
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department, providing expertise, encouraging teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment
• Oversee the Tourism Marketing Strategy and oversee the management of national tourism brands
• Oversee the preparation, planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events on a national and international level to promote tourism in Qatar
• Direct the preparation and participation in regional and international marketing events to promote tourism in Qatar in coordination with PR & Communications
• Manage the operations and services of the call center contractor and the management of issues and queries to ensure customer satisfaction with services
• Oversee the development of marketing content for the production of website, smart phone applications and social media content to increase awareness and education of the tourism industry in Qatar
• Oversee the management and commissioning of the design, production and distribution of publications including posters, brochures, televised and radio material for tourism marketing purposes in coordination with Tourism Development Sector
• Manage the provisioning of operations support to Information Centers and manage the identification of data and information required for the formulation of marketing strategies and plans, and coordinate with Research and Statistics Department on its collection
• Direct the operation of owned international offices and offices outsourced to contractors to enhance the awareness of Qatar as a must-see touristic destination
• Oversee the development of business partnerships with industry players in target markets and the engagement of target customers and clients through various trade engagement activities
• Monitor and ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of the Marketing Department, set Departmental and individual objectives, manage performance, develop and motivate staff, provision formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and Department performance
