Operations Manager – F&B/ Hospitality – Holding Company – Michael Page International (UAE) Limited
Our client is seeking a Operations Manager – F&B/ Hospitality to join its team here in Qatar.
The Operations Manager – F&B/ Hospitality will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of operations for the whole F&B division within the holding company by:
– Overseeing the restaurants’ entire operations and maintenance activities;- Managing and developing staff including managers, chefs and support staff- Coordinating the day to day operations and strategy of the restaurants through regular site visits, effective communication and implementation of policies and procedures- Monitoring the quality and quantity of supplies and products and managing all agreements and contracts with suppliers/contractors;- Continuously investigating and recommending ways to reduce costs, maximise resources and improve quality of services;- Coordinating with other departments to ensure operations are running effectively- Creating action plans and strategies across the estate to increase sales, improve efficiency and develop the teams in all outlets.- Developing and implementing training initiatives to further the brands whilst progressing the career of individuals at all levels.- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards, imposing legal regulations and maintaining security plans and regular quality checks;- Achieving and exceeding operational and sales objectives;- Monitoring customer service standards and customer feedback;- Coordinating with HR department to recruit, train and retain staff, communicate job responsibilities and conducting appraisals and performance reviews;- Exploring new markets, opportunities and acquiring new partners;- Suggesting promotional and communications activities/events and implement approved marketing solutions;- Monitoring the competition and developing a good knowledge of the market and products to ensure competitive services;- Responsible profit and loss monitoring, product pricing and periodic forecasting/budgeting to achieve financial objectives;- Designing and implementing periodic business/actions plans and providing necessary reports and inventories for decision making and progress tracking;- Undertaking other tasks as required.
– University Degree in Hospitality/F&B or related subject- A minimum of 15 years total experience as Operations Manager preferably in a well-known group based in the GCC operating in the F&B and Hospitality sectors is required.- A proven track records of achievements in previous assignments and an ability to demonstrate expert knowledge costing skills, P&L knowledge, financial control procedures and labour controls is needed.- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (English essential, Arabic preferred) are required.
Circa 20,000 QAR total package.
