Specialist - HSE Marine Description   Key Roles & Responsibilities • Application of compliance and measurement tools at the assigned vessels to monitor, record and verify that regulatory and other obligations, safe work methodologies and processes that are implemented by vessel’s management and crew are effectual • Carry out vessel visits, sailing for approximately one week on each vessel per month or as required by clients, operations or internal issues • Coach and mentor vessel’s management and crew to understand and implement zero harm management strategies consistent with the assigned vessels’ needs and in accordance with Client HSEQ Management Systems • Examine assigned vessels’ activities to ensure that vessel’s management and crew are adhering with vessel-specific established risk management processes, in keeping with as low as reasonably practicable controls and industry specific risk control principles • Guide management representatives who hold assigned responsibility for inspections of workplaces, approval of work method statements, issuing work permits, high-risk work process documentation, etc. so as to assure fit-for-purpose operational conditions are determined and in place and that work is adequately supervised • In event of HSEQ related incident, direct initial scene response, provide situation reports to line manager, collate data requirements for analysis, conduct interviews of involved persons, track corrective and preventive actions to completion, and faciliate lessons learned are communicated.
